Physical, rough-and-tumble play between young children and fathers is a healthy way for children to develop confidence, learn to assess risk and develop their characters as they mature into young adults. However, boys who seek out rough play or play involving physical risk are often labeled as “bad” children in schools or by society.

Join us for an afternoon of bonding play between boys (4-9 of age) and father figures. Step outside for cross-generational bonding through movement, outdoor physical play, and strengthening of the boyish energy inside each of us. Sample games include tug-of-war, obstacle courses, and team-based challenges. Snacks and water will be provided for the event. Fathers will have an opportunity to participate in a group discussion.
